Dear Gerry & Toni,
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the wonderful evening of Kitchen music at your house yesterday evening. I realized after talking to Janet this morning that I actually married into a little bit of County Clare heritage as my wife, Janet’s grandfather and grandmother William McNamara and Catherine Tuttle respectively were from Kanocknageher Caher Feakle. In addition, the Mother-in Law, Rita, her late first cousin was Doreen Tuttle the wife of the late great Clare Piper,Willie Clancy of Miltown Malbay.
Sincerely,
Andy Hanley

I hope that you’re enjoying your visit to the states. I hope that it’s not still too cold. I *Love* the show, and can’t wait to hear the podcast!
Take Care and c’mon out Deetroit way sometime.

Hi Andy
Great to meet you Sunday in Dunleavy’s. WHat craic that show was. Great bunch of people and a fine rowdy crowd of North Clare dancers and listeners! A fine CLaqre heritage you’ve just discovered for yourself there! My own grandmother was from Caher too, Andy. - Mary Kelly from the post office. It’s one of the most beautiful and least known parts of Clare. Related to Willie Clancy too! You cant go wrong then!

Hi Tom
You never know. I’ve got the bug now! Having a ball in the US. Such wonderful hospitality all round. And it’s a privilege to finally be here among our Irish American listeners, and in a position to transmit some of your music back across the Atlantic as Gerry Dunleavy would say!
We’re in New Jersey now. THere’s a cracking show lined up at Willie Kelly’s for 8 Feb. A cast of immigrant musicians from the 1950s - Martin Mulhaire, Charlie Coen, Mike Rafferty and more - playing the laid-back music of the Sliabh Aughty’s as if nothing had changed in 50 years. I can’t wait!

Hi Paula,
On behalf of my wife Toni, my children and myself, I would like to say it was an absolute pleasure to host the Kitchen Session in the United States. I am so proud of the traditional Irish music being played in the Boston area and am delighted to help expose it to the World audience, through your programme on Clare FM. We enjoyed having you and Tracey as guests and we are deeply indebted to all the participants. It was a wonderful experience for the whole family and for as long as we live in the house, the music will be in the rafters. Keep up the good work.
Sincerly,
Gerry, Toni, John, Laura, Lucy, and Brian.
